Contests of Random Observings

I've noticed that the two of the three or four webcomics I follow (yes, I am picky) are holding V-day contests. How sweet - and they're pairing contests. Pair people with other people in the comic. Yadda yadda.

Now me, I'd pair them in a horrific cross-over filled with Taus, Yeoman, Ganji, ships, chains and sour cream. Because you'd need the sour cream for the potato chips, with which you're feeding the audience, whom you also need the chains for. The whips would be for the gerbils.

You guys were thinking something else, weren't you.

I thought about Akashik holding a contest. We haven't had one in a couple of years, but ... it's a little late in the game to be announcing one. Maybe we'll do one for our next anniversary in November. Although it would be hard to say just what.

Did anybody else here notice that we're all of a couple of dollars away from the final donation to hit $200? You know what that means: we're all of a couple of dollars away from an extra page. No really. It's only about five dollars. We're right there on the eeeedddggee..... LOL... but anyway.

We're booked for Hurley's Heroes in Joplin, Missouri. I know I will be there. I think War will try to make it.

We're tentatively working on getting booked for OMG-con in June. Last year we went to Carolinacon and really showed our asses in the artist's alley. (Mwahahahah....) But! That's what the hotel gets for sticking all of us artists in an out of the way room where... well... the hundreds of guests barely knew we were there! And I don't sit still very well. So it was that I sent Pestilence to the door to shout, "Comics! Fresh comics! Get your comics here!" quite often.

I now know that's not proper con etiquette, but I was young and innocent then!

Besides. I'm evil. You don't expect someone whose evil to... obey the rules... do you?!?!?

Anyway, we haven't been reinvited. LOL... okay fine. But OMG-con is practically next door to the house. I won't even have to get a hotel. So this works out great.
