Heavenly Bride Scenes And Wotnot

Ever wonder what Heavenly Bride’s Mercy Academy looks like?

Yeah. Me too.

Well, I’m at a point in the story where I can condone taking time to figure it out. So for my Easter Sunday that’s what I did. I built one of the outside faces of the Mercy Academy.

It wasn’t easy because Charlie is having one of his yearly hardware failures. (We’ve narrowed it down to the motherboard, but alas it is an expense that will have to wait.) Still I fought past system freezes and various reboots to get it done. It had to be done. Here it is:

And then I had to set about to taking this image and using it as a backdrop for the setting of the next page. Yeah, sure, I could just use the set you just saw but even when Charlie is at his prime that would be a lot of work for him. outerfieldSo we condense and copy, and build, and we have manageable files.

The set needs a bit of tweaking. And a big tree (which I somehow have to buy). But it’s almost ready. I’m not sure when I’ll be able to resume page making though. Charlie’s in such a bad way a tiny 400 pixel wide picture took him 3 hours to render.

But this is this and that is that. And now you have a better idea of where Taus spends her days.

3D mermaid tail for Cookie?

Cross-posted from the Apocalypse shop.

Katrina speaking here; one half of this shop’s administrative team.

Part of this shop’s proceeds go to support my comic endeavors. As I’m planning a good amount of my future to deal in 3D, I’ve been having to make objects and learn things I never expected to learn. Of course I prefer to buy, because I’m more worried about the storytelling than I am the object creating, but sometimes I hit an obstacle.

There’s a story I’m planning I intend to call Blue Moon. I’m miles away from it as I’ve only just started getting ready for it, and I’ve other projects that need my attention. It’s a mermaid story and the model I’ve planned to use, it turns out, didn’t have a mermaid tail. I was shocked. Everything in fantasy has a mermaid tail, or wings at least. But not this one. So I had to start learning to make a mermaid tail.

This takes a lot of time. What I have decided to do to help bolster things is to offer some things I make in the shop. They may not be the best made objects, but they’ll be done to my best. And proceeds will help the making of what they’re created for.

So here’s a preview of the mermaid tail I’m making for Blue Moon. It’s a mermaid tail for Littlefox’s Cookie figure. There will also be one for Cookie’s husband, Chip. Currently it’s only rigged for DAZ and has a bit of a way to go. Fitting it to the figure takes a bit of know how so that I’ll have to include usage instructions, but I’m doing the best I can durnit…. I hear there’s a way to export it out for Poser and have it work right, but I don’t have Poser and am not ready for that phase just yet. Anyway. Coming soon, if all goes well. The other half of the administrative team has dubbed the set in the making “Fish and Chips”. So. Cookies N Chips.
